Haley Smith discovered a passion for haircare as she embarked upon her journey towards loving and caring for her natural curls.
After earning a Communications degree, Haley later moved to Virginia to further her education and training in the hair industry, ultimately acquiring a cosmetology license.
She intently studied methods of cutting and caring for curly hair and soon carved out a lane of her own, thus creating LoveLeys Hair, LLC. Haley's salon opened in August 2018, which focused on haircare education and specialized in curly hair treatment, color, and overall healthy hair development and sustainability.
Haley has been published in local and national magazines, including Essence and VPM, in which her work has also been featured by the likes of NBC12 News. Garnering recognition and training under celebrity stylists like Metowi, while also gaining mentorship from Yene Damtews Academy have been two of the many highlights that have provided sound tutelage for the success that Haley has seen today.
Creating the LoveLeys Hair Natural Hair Academy for clients, due to the COVID-pandemic, gave Haley the outreach to expand online education, as face-to-face interaction became limited. Haley now offers in-person and online education to current and aspiring stylists, which will spotlight her innovative natural hair cutting, coloring, and styling techniques.
